This Privacy Policy explains how Skinklean LLC, doing business as SkinKlean ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit skinklean.co, place an order, subscribe, contact us or otherwise interact with us (the "Services"). Skinklean LLC is the controller of your personal information.

1. Information we collect

  • Contact and order details: name, email, phone number, billing and shipping address, order history and subscription details.
  • Payment information: processed by our payment providers (such as Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, PayPal or Afterpay). We don't store your full card number.
  • Account and preferences: login details, marketing preferences and quiz answers you choose to give us (for example, skin concerns).
  • Communications: messages you send us and reviews you submit.
  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser, pages viewed, links clicked, and information collected through cookies, pixels and similar technologies.

2. How we use it

  • To process and deliver your orders, manage subscriptions, and provide customer support.
  • To send order, shipping and subscription emails.
  • To send marketing emails or texts if you've agreed to receive them.
  • To measure and improve our website, products and advertising, including showing you relevant ads.
  • To prevent fraud, keep our Services secure, and meet legal obligations.

Where the law of your country requires a legal basis (for example, in the EU and UK), we rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests, your consent (for marketing and non-essential cookies) and legal obligations.

3. Who we share it with

  • Service providers that help us run the store: e-commerce hosting (Shopify), payments, subscription management (Loop Subscriptions), email and SMS (Klaviyo), reviews (Judge.me), delivery and tracking, customer support, analytics and A/B testing.
  • Advertising and analytics partners such as Meta, Google, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest and AppLovin, which receive device and usage information through pixels to measure and personalise ads.
  • Affiliate partners, when you arrive through an affiliate link, so the referral can be attributed.
  • Authorities or other parties when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer.

We don't sell your personal information for money. Some sharing with advertising partners may count as "selling" or "sharing" under certain US state laws; see section 6.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and pixels to make the website work, remember your cart, understand how the site is used, and measure and personalise advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where available, through our cookie banner.

5. Text messages

If you opt in to SMS, we use your phone number to send the messages you signed up for. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Your SMS opt-in and phone number are not shared with third parties for their own marketing.

6. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to opt out of targeted advertising and the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as an opt-out where required.

To exercise any of these rights, email help@skinklean.co with the subject "Privacy request", or use the Shopify Privacy Portal. We'll verify your request before acting on it, and you may use an authorised agent. You won't be treated differently for exercising your rights. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our response.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link at the bottom of each email.

7. Customers in the EU and UK

You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. When your information is transferred outside the EU or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as we need it to provide the Services, handle returns and guarantee claims, and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, and then delete or anonymise it.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10. Children

Our Services are not directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe we have, contact us and we'll delete it.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date shows when it last changed, and we'll notify you of material changes where required.
